UPDATE…UPDATE…UPDATE…UPDATE…UPDATE…UPDATE…

It is with since pleasure that I post the facts I received today at my doctor’s visit. They caught my breast cancer early, Stage 1 Invasive (Hormonal) Ductal Carcinoma. It is definitely cancer, but it was caught early enough to not be a big deal to deal with. I’m having surgery on the 30th to remove the lump. Once the lump is out, she can tell me what type of treatment I need.  I told myself, I wouldn’t spend the weekend worrying myself sick about the diagnosis, but I apparently did subconsciously. When we arrived home after the appointment, I slept for six straight hours. Me thinks I was stressing a little more than I realized.

  1. I praise God they found it quickly: I’m so very happy for you. It seems strange to say perhaps but I’m believing God for your healing. Mom is a two-time cancer survivor and I’ve experienced my own sharing of healing blessings. We will keep you and your husband in prayer! I’m so glad to have followed Martha’s link!

    God’s blessings on you both,
    Rebecca (and Ma Chris too!)

  2. Congratulations! I know that is an odd thing to hear – but I know what you are talking about – I was Stage IIa – not a bad place to be – I was/am able to wrap my brain around it. But Stage 1 is so awesome! The surgery will be like nothing and then you might need a little bit of radiation. They may also put you on tamoxifen. You can do it! Stay positive!

  3. I’m so happy for you that you got the best news at this point. And I’ll be praying for you the whole way, including on April 30, Jill! xo

  4. You will get through the disease successfully. God bless you. Cancers are usaualy much easily treated when diagnosed at early stages…:)
