I need some help from all you good people out there in the blogosphere. My husband is retiring and I need to buy a present. What do you get a man retiring from a job after 33 1/2 years? I’m lost. It needs to be good. HELP! Suggestions please……
How about something for him to start out on a new hobby (or an new updated piece of equipment for an old hobby)?
Great idea, but I covered that at Christmas! New camera to play with. He is getting out with it a little. Thanks for the suggestion.
I think those suggestions of a vacation or a pet are great. I wouldn’t have thought of those.
He would shoot me if I got another pet. Vacation sounds good to me. I couldn’t come up with that on my own. I was totally lost.
It’s a great idea!
A vacation ~ that’s perfect!
Are tickets to a car race too impersonal? He is a huge NASCAR fan.I thought about a trip to race he hasn’t been too!
Great idea! Or let him drive a race car! Oh what fun that would be! š
Howsa about a book for writing good resumes for a job. That ought to go over well.
That would actually be kinda funny….
What did he do?
Retiring after 30+ years.
I meant what job did he have. I was thinking some sort of memento of his work.
Oops….sorry bout that, I think I was starting to doze off when I saw that last night….He was the assistant director of his department he worked in. More or less an engineer that supervised half the department he worked for. Not much there to make a momento out of. They are giving him a plaque.
I’m agreeing with a vacation! Perfect way to start retirement.
We need one, too!
I got two ideas in my mind… a pet or a vacation?? š
Thanks for visiting our blog! The vacation sounds great! Thanks for the suggestions…..Jill
